For Spring 2010 Collection, designer Auralís Herrero-Lugo stayed true to the principles that inspired her to open the studio. She reveals to us a collection that while keeping timelessness in the shapes, incorporates contemporary silhouettes presented in an airy material and color palette. Her pieces evoke her childhood and the advent of breezy summer nights in the tropics. For inspiration, Auralis studied the texture and techniques of Puerto Rican painter Angel Otero’s work. His bobbin lace (mundillo-like) textures led the designer to incorporate hemp gauze, organic cotton dobby and jersey into her collection. The results are free flowing, wearable pieces with stunning ruffle and draped details that emphasize movement and designer’s free spirit. There is something for everyone in this collection. We hope you love it as much as we do! This collection also introduced our 2 best sellers to the world, the convertible jumpsuit and the jennifer jumpsuit.
